Lord Krishna with his wives — He had a total of 16,108 wives, of which only eight were his princely wives who were known as Ashtbharya or Patrani. Their names were Rukmini, Satyabhama, Jambavati, Nagnajiti, Kalindi, Mitravinda, Bhadra and Lakshmana.

Shri Krishna with his sons — Krishna had eighty sons from his eight wives, thus ten sons from each wife.

Ekalavya and Guru Drona — Ekalavya was actually Krishna’s cousin. He was the son of Devashrava (brother of Vasudeva) who got lost in the forest and was found by a Nishada Hiranyadhanu. Ekalavya died protecting his father during Rukmini Swayamvara. He was killed by Krishna. For his great sacrifice to Gurudakshina Krishna blessed Eklavya that he would soon be incarnated to kill Drona. This person was Dhrishtadyumna (who killed Drona).

Nand Lal with Pandavas — Pandavas were related to Lord Krishna from mother’s side. Their mother, Kunti, was the sister of Vasudeva, father of Shri Krishna.

Radha with Krishna — Despite the popularity of Radha Krishna love tale, there are no traces of the existence of Radha in Shrimad Bhagavata or Mahabharata or the Harivansham, which is about the life of Lord Krishna.

Shri Krishna and Tulabhram — Satyabhama was jealous of Rukmini when she was fully devoted to Krishna. The famous incident of Tulabharam established that Rukmini’s simplicity was much better than Satyabhama’s wealth.

Sage Sandipani – teacher of Krishna and Balrama — He brought back the son of his guru (teacher), Sandipani, who was dead. That’s how he paid his Gurudakshina to Sage Sandipani.

Govardhandhari with Arjuna — Krishna’s character can be very perplexing. At one time he started to fight with Arjuna, and Lord Shiva had to descend to stop. When asked about the reason, he said that Arjuna needed to fight in the battle and that he was testing Arjuna if he could fight or not.

Lord Krishna with Sudarshan Chakra — Sudarshan Chakra is perhaps Krishna’s most favorite weapon. He used it to kill Shishupal and also used it to create the illusion of sunset when he killed Jayadratha.

Sri Krishna had once advised Arjuna to abduct his sister Subhadra and take her away. This was because Krishna knew that she would get married to Duryodhana, who Krishna did not approve of. Later Arjuna and Subhadra were married with the blessings of Krishna and Balarama.

Lord Krishna DeathLord Krishna Death — Krishna died due to the culmination of many curses. As legend goes, Gandhari’s curse on Krishna was that he would die with the entirety of his clan in 36 years. Krishna was cursed a second time by the sage Durvasa, when he was asked by him to apply kheer all over his body. Krishna obeyed but did not apply kheer on Durvasa’s feet as they were resting on the ground. Enraged, Durvasa cursed Krishna saying that his death would be by his foot.
